Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
The Senior Manager: HR Operations and Business Partnering will develop and administer all human resource operations initiatives and provide HR support to all business departments. Deliver the business vision, goals, strategies, and execution priorities. The SM is responsible for delivering core HR Operational Services, with a deep focus on generating experience and operational excellence. The specific work areas include:
- Recruitment and On-boarding
- Employee Services
- Employee Relations
- Facilities, Health and Safety Management
Further, the SM will be accountable to deliver seamless, efficient transactional HR services to build, enable and deliver on the employee value proposition.
Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)
- Strategy Development and Implementation
- Manage and ensure complete accountability for HR operations and service delivery
- Drive continuous improvement to ensure HR service delivery and operations are effective, relevant, and sustainable for Group Finco
- Be a trusted advisor, display maturity and subject matter expertise to stakeholders including business leaders to achieve organization excellence
- Recommend to the GM, manage, prioritise, and enable implementation of strategic programs, initiatives, and projects specific to HR operations and service delivery for Group Finco
- Manage the performance and deliverables of direct and indirect reports to ensure that the operational objectives are achieved
- Participate in the HR operational business plan execution whilst ensuring strategic alignment and integration
Operational Delivery
HR Operations & Business Partnering
- Establish and proactively manage stakeholder relationships, within the HR team and other business units, including managing internal customer expectations
- Establish and monitor operational compliance to the recruitment and on-boarding policies, processes and mandates
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment and on-boarding lifecycle and process delivery for Group Finco
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional candidate experience and quality hiring
- Manage and oversee the manpower plan, recruitment strategy and plan for Group Finco
- Manage and develop sourcing strategies to attract the right talent
- Oversight on alignment across internal departments to ensure compliance to the SLAs for recruitment and on-boarding
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of employee management services
- Monitor accuracy of HR Management information and timeous availability
- Design and Rollout HR Operations related surveys and benchmarking
- Address enquiry management, staffing and scheduling issues that have been escalated by business units
- Advise internal clients on the recruitment, selection and placement process
- Support and facilitate implementation of talent management strategy
- Manage and release letters to employees with regard to bonus and annual increases
- Offer reward advice and guidance as the HR business partner
- Facilitate implementation of recognition initiatives
Employee Relations
- Ensure a fair, equitable, transparent, and compliant work environment. Manage the infrastructure, processes, and policies to support the mandate in Finco
- Accountable for effective management employee relations processes, policies, and procedures for Finco
- Liaise with employees, legal teams , and business where required
- Report and advise Leadership and Executives on ER related issues and possible resolutions
- Manage and review the industrial relations actions, industrial interventions, and oversee the disciplinary procedures & processes for Group Finco
- Ensure terminations, re-deployments and changes to workforce are administered in a fair and effective manner, in compliance with the local regulations and legal requirements
- Oversee and manage exit interviews conducted, analysed, and feedback provided to management and input into retention strategies
HR Operations Reporting
- Manage end to end operations and service metrics which include recruitment & onboarding, employee services, employee relationsMonitor and report on compliance with HR processes and policies
- Prepare, review and file statutory reporting requirements, as per the schedule of compliances
- Prepare Reports and Executive updates presentation on key workforce and operational metrics
- Manage accuracy, integrity and completeness of HR data for Group Finco
Statutory Reporting and Compliances
- Accountable for compliance for South African Labor and Statutory regulations and acts as applicable
- Ensure timely/accurate statutory reporting
Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
Education:
- Minimum of 4 year tertiary degree (specialization in Management/Human Resources/Behavioural Sciences as appropriate)
- MBA or Masters (advantageous)
- Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body relevant to HR Operations and Service Management
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing and leading HR Operations and Services for a global organization
- 3-4 years’ experience in a HR business partnering and/or HR operations in a Fintech/Financial Services industry
- 3-4 years of managerial experience
- Demonstrated management experience in HR service delivery management
- Understanding of core and technical Fintech related skills & competencies
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
- Experience working in a medium to large organization
- Project management experience
- Pan Africa multi-cultural experience
