    Senior Human Resource Business Partner

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement HR strategy, processes, and procedures as per Group HR strategy plan
    • Provide a best practice HR service to the business and its employees aligned to labour legislation
    • Support recruitment and talent acquisition processes
    • Uphold Talent Acquisition and Inclusion & Diversity policies, procedures, and process
    • Responsible for all disciplinary and grievance matters including
    • First line support on employee relations matters
    • Lead and guide disciplinary sessions
    • Serve as line management advisor
    • Ensure procedural & substantive fairness.
    • Related administration
    • Lead performance management processes and guidance to line management
    • Handle New Starter administration, orientation, induction, and probation
    • Support monthly payroll administration
    • Co-ordinate, handle or assist with all training initiatives and ensure appropriate reporting
    • Support HR administration accuracy and completion as required
    • Support HR database accuracy
    • Ensure statutory compliance in terms of Employment Equity plans, committees and reporting
    • Drive Employee participation, wellness and EAP’s e.g. Wellness Day
    • Ensure Exit/ Termination Management
    • Handle S189 & 197 process, amongst others
    • Drive talent, performance & career development processes & procedures
    • Provide support to the HR team on tasks relating to the HR value chain
    • Always provide trusted, ethical, efficient, and highly reputable HR service to the business and its employees

    • Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you
    • Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
    • Embracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times

    Qualifications

    • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in HR
    • Honours Degree in HR Management will be advantageous
    • At least 5 years’ experience as a Generalist Human Resources Business Partner
    • Industrial relations certificate advantageous
    • Strong Industrial relations experience & knowledge
    • Strong SA Labour legislation knowledge
    • Working experience in the Engineering/Mining Industry
    • Strong Microsoft word and excel abilities
    • ATS knowledge and experience

    • Team player: the candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to work within real and virtual teams, create a team working environment and participate within a team, including the HR function and with Line Managers across the client group/business stream.
    • Analytical skills i.e.  able to analyse, interpret and communicate business, financial and people data to inform discussions and develop solid HR/People plans.
    • Results driven; proactive, accountable, responsible for delivery with a strong client/customer service orientation.
    • Resilient, self-motivated, multi-tasker and able to remain calm under pressure and when working towards a variety of deadlines.
    • Time management and a highly organised approach are essential as well as advanced level HR related system skills.
