    Sales Executive: External (Cape Town)

    Purpose:

    • The External Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling Mustek products to the dealer channel, government / corporate customers, retail and key accounts, as applicable per allocated database. He/ She must be able to build lasting relationships with new and existing customers, handling sales enquiries, providing quotations and closing sales.

    Responsibilities:

    • Achieve gross profit and sales turnover target by the end of each month.
    • Ensure year to date target is maintained if monthly target is not achieved.
    • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via customer visits and meetings, telephone calls, emails and other communication tools.
    • Focus on a better understanding of the client’s business focus or clientele and specific needs.
    • Demonstrate how Mustek products and services can meet client needs, focusing specifically on areas where the client is unaware of the range of offering from Mustek.
    • Provides customers with necessary product support and basic technical support and maintain the relationship between the customer and service.
    • Evaluate customer spend on a quarterly basis and determine reasons for declines observed.
    • Motivate dealers to attend events arranged for the Western Cape area and use these events as opportunities to promote products and build relationships.
    • Maximise sales opportunities during special promotions work.
    • Work closely with the internal team members or departments to ensure high customer satisfaction. 
    • Attend all scheduled in-house training to ensure keeping abreast with the latest technology and products.
    • Monitor stock levels as per allocated responsibilities. 
    • Provide technical specifications and accurate quotations in the shortest possible time to ensure efficiency and customer retention.
    • Follow-up with work in progress to ensure customer satisfaction. 
    • Report to the Branch Manager on any relevant information that will assist in understanding trends or opportunities within the region.
    • Contact clients for outstanding amounts by the 10th of each month, as and when notified by finance.

    Requirements

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Matric
    • Qualification in sales and/or marketing would be advantageous
    • Driver’s license and own transport
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales target driven environment, corporate/retail sales with account management experience (within ICT would be an advantage)

    • Knowledge of ICT industry
