    Sales Director

    Purpose of the Role/Objectives:

    • Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth
    • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
    • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
    • Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
    • Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.)
    • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
    • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
    • Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring

    Duties:

    • Build out our data strategy
    • Monetise our podcast, content , social media, influencer and community passion groups.

    Education and training: Attracting businesses and professional leaders to our education and training products. Working with our partners BELOVD to deliver all of the workshops, consultancy, education and training deliverables.

    Reputation and Influence: Protecting the public and holding our members accountable. Seeking to influence across government, business and community activity in areas where our voice can make a substantive contribution.

    • Leading on the implementation of the strategy for Dope Black's commercial activities, maximising revenues and developing these into a major business asset while ensuring that actions undertaken are in line with Dope Black's brand.
    • Supporting the CEO in leading and influencing on racial identity changes with our members, the profession and wider business.
    • Regularly review Dope Black’s global strategic plan, working with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff.
    • Develop strong professional relationships with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff and other senior colleagues, stakeholders and members, to ensure continual collaboration and good cross-functional working, to provide strategic direction and leadership of Dope BLACK.
    • Act as an anchor point between the Chief Executive and departmental directors, anticipating and challenging, where necessary, the implementation of DOPE BLACK's global strategy.
    • Lead in the drive for achieving efficiencies and effective use of resources.
    • Build and lead a high performing, collaborative and diverse team including strong professional relationships, to ensure good cross functional working.
    • To act as a spokesperson for DOPE BLACK when appropriate.
    • Lead by example in championing diversity and inclusion across DOPE BLACK.
    • Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.

    Person Specification

    • Familiarity with the Black community
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Solid organisational skills and knowledge of basic IT software
    • Confident working autonomously
    • Experience of using social media (from a business perspective desirable)
    • Flexibility to work unsociable hours occasionally
    • A passion for Black culture
