    S&OP Lead

    Job description:
    Based at Sedibeng Brewery, the purpose of this role is to own and facilitate the execution of the end-to-end sales & operations planning process according to the global Heineken standard. The S&OP Lead ensures that key decision makers take business decisions across multiple functional areas in a coordinated, timely and high-quality manner.

    Key activities & results:

    Activities

    Change management and execution of S&OP process

    • Ensures execution and continuous improvement of monthly S&OP cycle in line with Heineken standards
    • Clarifies, communicates, and monitors tasks and responsibilities of all relevant stakeholders involved in the preparation and execution of the S&OP process. Provides coaching if required.
    • Monitors the execution of all key decisions taken in the S&OP meetings, and reports into the next S&OP cycle.
    • Ensures ad-hoc issues are resolved in line with the formal S&OP process and escalation paths
    • Acts as an active member of the Heineken S&OP community of practices which involves knowledge sharing, Heineken S&OP standards development, etc

    S&OP commitment

    • Create awareness and buy-in throughout the OpCo and act as an ambassador for the S&OP process. Makes sure that decisions on balancing demand and supply are taken within the S&OP framework.

    Stakeholder management

    • Clarifies, communicates, monitors, and aligns tasks and responsibilities of all relevant stakeholders involved in the preparation and execution of the S&OP process, in line with S&OP processes and objective setting.

    Facilitation of decision making

    • Facilitates decision making by preparing, chairing and participating in the S&OP meetings and involving all relevant decision makers and functional perspectives, within the S&OP structure.
    • Ensures that all relevant topics are on the agenda for the S&OP meetings
    • Prepares and facilitates decisions to optimize the cost / service trade-offs
    • Actively participates in S&OP meetings
    • Ensures quality of decision making by ensuring involvement of relevant decision makers.

    Best practices sharing

    • Exchanges and applies best practices and actively participates in the Heineken S&OP Community and external peer networks.

    Quality of information

    • Ensures all relevant data for the S&OP process is delivered timely, complete, and accurately, in line with the Heineken standard data sets.
    • Monitors data quality and proposes corrective actions in case of deviations.

    Results

    • Heineken S&OP process serves as the leading platform for all major business decisions across multiple functional areas.
    • Successful implemented, executed and maintained S&OP process in the OpCo, in line with the Heineken Standard (processes and timings).
    • Process in place to link S&OP decisions taken into the past to actual performance and trends in the S&OP dashboard.
    • High quality decisions and one agreed plan (with underlying assumptions) supported by all relevant stakeholders.
    • Optimize the cost / service trade-offs.
    • One agreed plan, with underlying assumptions
    • All relevant S&OP decisions that require alignment across functions is taking place within the S&OP structure
    • Incorporates regional sourcing decisions into the long-term S&OP decisions
    • The S&OP deck (expressing both volume and value) is equipped with high quality input and output data.
    • One common and accurate S&OP deck (expressing both volume and value) used for preparation and discussions in S&OP process

    Educational Requirments and Personal Attributes

    • Related University Degree
    • 4-8 years operational experience in Business Planning, Project Management or Chnage Management preferbaly within FMCG
    • Experience in S&OP process design and implementation
    • Financial and analytical literate
    • Sound verbal and written communications skills
    • Strong Project Management skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
