• As a Renewable Energy Business Development Manager, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, focusing on C&I clients. You will oversee the end-to-end sale cycle of renewable energy projects, ensuring timely delivery, promoting solutions and achievement of key milestones. Your role will include providing technical guidance, negotiating and managing contracts, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will engage with stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships, representing the company in various forums and promoting strategic partnerships.

What you’ll need

• You will need a bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or a related field, with advanced degrees or certifications in renewable energy being preferred. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and at least 2 years in a similar role are required. You should have a proven track record of driving successful sizeable (10+MW) renewable energy projects from conception to financial closure, strong sales skills, and excellent knowledge of the South African energy market. Proficiency in technical aspects, EPC and PPA contracts, financial analysis, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are also required.
