    Regional Trade Marketing Specialist

    Purpose of the Job

    • Lead the operational execution of the agreed trade marketing plan in the designated region, execute, track regional trade marketing programs and support all Trade categories within indirect business such as RTM High Street, Mass Merchandisers, Retail, Agri and Co-ops

    Who you are:

    • You work well under pressure, with little or no supervision, and display excellent time management skills.

    What you’ll have done before:
    Baseline:

    • NQF level 6 (Diploma in Sales & Marketing or relevant)
    • 5 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing with 2 years in Trade Marketing (preferably from FMCG industry)
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Advantageous: 

    • Advertising agency experience in B2B  and B2C
    • Experience supporting Distributors – (Understanding of high Street Automotive independent workshops & Auto Specialists)
    • Analytical – Ability to analyse data.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Regional marketing calendar
    •  Implementation of Regional and National marketing activities
    • Tracking and measuring effectiveness of marketing initiatives
    • Reporting monthly regional results.
    • Asset procurement – signage & equipment
    • Creative inputs – artwork layouts 
    •  Create delightful customer experience through customer engagement, improved communications and VOC.
    •  Implementation of Sell in/Sell out and sell through strategy. 
    •  Increase efficiency (B2B) execution of SOPs.
    • Support the Lubes Revenue management objective - Price collection/feasibility assessment of activities.
    • Extend customer experience beyond traditional touch points by introducing the digital focus (social media, Engen 1App)
    • Drive campaigns that influence buying decision and increase share of wallet.
    • Managing regional budgets
    •  Project management

    Exciting Challenges you might face in the role:

    • Working with and supporting a dynamic Lubricants Sales team infield
    • Exposure to the Lubes business sectors i.e.High Street Auto Specialists/Independant workshops/Engen Service stations/Distributors
    • Attending Trade shows/events
    • Working conditions:
    • Frequent travel mainly in RSA and occasionally in SSA
    • Required to co-ordinate, attend and host customer eng
