    Regional CSI Specialist - Phoenix

    Job Description    

    • Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our PAC Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Regional CSI Specialist based in Phoenix. The successful candidate will report directly to theRegional Public Affairs Manager.

    Key Purpose Statement

    • To enhance corporate reputation of CCBSA at regional level through the implementation of flagship projects and regional projects according to CSI policy, operating procedures and standards. To execute & co-ordinate regional execution of national SOUL CSI projects ensuring alignment to national strategy& guidelines.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Regional CSI planning and implementation:

    • Scan the landscape for developments in critical areas related to CSI Strategy within the region give input to National CSI strategy priorities
    • Interpret CSI strategy and adjust execution to address local / regional dynamics for the region
    • With the support of PAC Manager, get Senior Executive Committee’s sign off for the annual CSI Plan for the region
    • Plan and sign off the CSI implementation of projects with regional leadership at various Districts within the regions and to drive achievement of CSI strategy
    • Identify and manage relationships with key local / district stakeholders necessary to partner with (local municipalities, community leaders, etc) for the effective implementation and informs the regional stakeholder management plans led by PAC Manager
    • Identify beneficiaries for the CSI programme and manage the implementation of the CSI programme in the region with the support of delivery partners (NGO’s, Development Agencies, etc)
    • Support central office Team with planning & execution of National CSI events by planning regional CSI days for the region according to policy and align this to flagship and regional projects
    • Ensure the implementation of the projects according to project charter, timelines and costs.
    • Resolve conflict between development partners and beneficiaries where appropriate
    • Assess societal impact of the projects as per agreements with the beneficiaries and deliver partners
    • Receive ad hoc proposals for funding and respond to applicants as per the CSI policy requirements and as per the CSI priorities for the region
    • Manage the implementation of Soul projects as per the CSI policy

    Socio Economic Development Champion- Code 800

    • Ensure alignment of regional projects to deliver on the SED priorities and contribute to CCBSA BBBEE performance
    • Document all BBBEE verification requirements for the audit
    • Ensure that all CSI projects target 75% of previously disadvantaged people to maximise regional SED scores

    Monitoring and Reporting

    • Maintain the regional CISM database and extract monthly CSI reports for the region and central office
    • Manage and report regional CSI Budget against plan
    • Compile monthly and quarterly CSI and SED reports for regional leadership and for central office
    • Ensure a green SED internal audit prior to the external VA audit
    • Responsible input into sustainability report for the region
    • Communicate the CSI programme to the regional leadership and to the employees through internal communication platforms to drive pride and employee engagement and corporate brand ambassadorship with our employees.

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or related field
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in community development
    • Strong understanding and appreciation of role of private business in development
    • Project management experience
    • Proven experience managing people
