Key Performance Areas:

• GMR 2.1 Appointee
• Manage of Plant Maintenance
• Manage the Efficient and Effective running of the Refrigeration Plant
• Manage the Maintenance of material handling equipment
• Manage the Maintenance of buildings and grounds
• Compliance with all of the HACCP Engineering requirements
• Compliance to the Effluent Discharge, Fire and Water Regulations
• Manage and control the usage of water and electricity
• To be the Competent Person with regard to the Group Risk Control Standards
• Manage the Budget and Expenditure Control at for Maintenance department
• Control of spares, tools, equipment and scrap
• Ad hoc Duties

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:                                                                   

• 3 – 5 years’ experience within an Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics function
• 3 – 5 years’ experience within a Facilities Management function
• 1 – 2 years’ experience within a Supervisory function
• Experience within an Ammonia Refrigeration Plant
• Experience within GMR 2.1 appointee function

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / NQF 4 / Matric
• Ammonia Safe Handling Certificate (CAT A)
• GCC Certification
• N5 Diploma / Artisan Trade Test

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
• HACCP Knowledge
• SAP
• MS Office
• Stand-by requirement for Ammonia Refrigeration
