    Professional Officer - Business Retention Specialist

    Requirements

    • B Tech or First Degree in Business Administration, Business Economics, Economics, Development Studies, Public Administration or related fields.
    • Programme or Project Management qualification will be an added advantage.
    • At least 4 years’ relevant experience in Business consulting, business surveys and analysing data.
    • Project management, development facilitation, communication and analytical skills capability & experience.
    • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Will be required to travel to meetings.
    • A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Performs Business development consulting services by facilitating and supporting the BRE programme and project implementation across the city.
    • Conducts regular research to ensure sufficient data sets are developed and analysed including energy load curtailment and BRE data generated.
    • Manage and advise the business sectors on energy load curtailment across the city where possible.
    • Directs and advises on appropriate enhancement options to improve the current Business Support Management System (BSMS) to ensure a transversal departmental collaboration.
    • Manages and co-ordinates Business capacity programmes for local business in support of SME development.
    • Ensures Stakeholder management by building and maintaining relationships with various business sectors and key stakeholders operating in the City.
    • Programme and Project Implementation by supporting the deployment of Investment Facilitation Unit resources ie. Responsive in directing BRE interventions, preparing business cases including project plans, drafting terms of reference for consultants, planning activities up to producing project execution plans and complete activities and deliverables within deadlines and budgets.
