    Product Manager - Digitisation and Automation Risk Execution

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Product Owner (PO) is a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. 

    The PO has a significant role in quality control and is the only team member empowered to accept stories as done. The Product Owner is responsible for understanding the needs of the business leaders and the strategic direction of the organisation as well as leading a program of research and development to deliver a solution which meets these needs. 

    The PO will lead with the identification and business case development for digitisation and automation of manual risk execution processes and practices.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications

    • Minimum qualification - Bachelor of Commerce/Business Management or Financial Degree
    • Preferred qualification - Post Graduate degree
    • Appropriate Process Qualification i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, SAFE Certification, PMPO, Safe for Team Certification and Agile         

    Experience

    • 3-7 Years, Experience in risk management, process engineering plus a strong understanding of IT environment.
    • Good understanding of all banking products, processes, and systems.
    • Experience in implementing features
    • More than 3 years’ experience in AI, cognitive computing, robotics, and innovation

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Key Responsibilities

    • Know the Business strategy and can clearly formulate business priorities to the Feature team.
    • Manage priorities across multiple systems.
    • Contribute to vision, roadmap, and content presentations. 
    • The Product Owner is responsible for decomposing the vision into a number of Stories, which make up the Product Backlog. Working with the team and the business, they are responsible for creating a Release and Iteration Plan based on the Backlog.
    • Attend daily Stand Ups to measure team delivery, identify blockages and deal issues related and prepare for Releases. 
    • Identify ways to improve processes so they are lean and efficient whilst meeting business delivery requirements in line with backlog. 
    • Maintain costs within the approved budgets
