    Plennegy: Payroll assistant - Greytown

    Description

    Plennegy (Pty) Ltd was founded in 1955 and is both a trading and holding company with its core business being related to agriculture and property investments. The following position has become available for a Payroll Assistant, based in Greytown. The purpose of this role is to perform all payroll related activities in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Statutory requirements and company policies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Processes monthly routine, and transactional financial information related to payroll functions (i.e.: salary, garnishees and payroll deductions).  
    • Prepares payroll input into Sage 300 and assists in preparing payroll checks 
    • Process monthly salary payments and 3rd party payments 
    • Completes basic review of data. Reviews and corrects personnel and payroll related  
    • Recognises and maintains the need for confidentiality in all situations related to payroll. 
    • Prepares salary slips. 
    • Reconciles payroll 
    • Monthly Submissions to the DOL 
    • Perform any other essential duties as assigned. 

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Qualifications:

    • Any Payroll Admin course and/or bookkeeping course

    Skills:

    • Communication Skills
    • Computer Skills
    • Customer Service Skills
    • Excel skills

    Experience:

    • Payroll Experience 1-3 Years
