    Plant/ Site Manager (Mpumalanga)

    Minimum Qualification/Experience:

    • Preferably a qualification in Engineering / a certified trade (skilled artisan).
    • Experience in management principals with at least 5 years’ + experience.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Able to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
    • A code 08 driver’s license.
    • Computer literacy (MS Office).
    • Must be a team player with natural leadership skills, and proven track record in doing things the “Afrimat Way”.

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to the following):

    • Manage the production outputs by directing and coordinating the activities of the staff.
    • Ensure optimal production targets are achieved within product specifications.
    • Provide management with the required statistical reports on performance.
    • Manage the different departments at the operation.
    • Ensure all required equipment is available for production and drive preventative maintenance effort.
    • Ensure all the products meet the required SABS specifications.
    • Ensure that the maintenance schedules are conducted on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. Safety, Environmental regulations, Labour Legislation and ensure site compliance.
    • Liaise with sales staff to ensure that customers’ requirements are met.
