    Payroll Manager

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Oversee all payroll activities, including the month end process, ensuring that the processes defined are carried out accurately and that payments are made according to company policies and statutory requirements
    • Facilitate the generation of continual improvement processes and quality standards within the Payroll Department
    • Update and maintain relevant payroll policies and procedures to manage risks
    • Prepare accurate and timely reports as requested by management
    • Ensure the headcount budgets are accurately captured and that changes are monitored and balanced
    • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the payroll system information
    • Drive projects by monitoring project progress, including third party contributions, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action with the aim of maximizing ROI
    • Ensure adherence to all statutory compliance requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification with at least 8 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role with a medium to large organisation with experience in business strategy, payroll analysis and business processes reporting and documenting
    • Project management experience
    • Be familiar with payroll benefits, i.e. Provident Fund, Risk Benefits etc
    • Excellent knowledge of BCEA, EE, SDLA, Income Tax Act, COIDA and other relevant legislation
    • Sage 300 experience
