    Partner Account Manager - Midrand

    Role purpose

    • The partner account manager (PAM) is responsible for managing the partner distribution and driving the key mobile and sales KPI’s across the dedicated partner base, maintain the partner relationships and ensure partners drive Vodacom business strategic pillars and achieve the objectives set for the financial year. The PAM drives the Vodacom business strategy and the penetration and sale of business products and solutions with Gauteng business partners as well as the strategic development and growth of the partners. The PAM will manage the dedicated partner distribution (partners, retail stores and associated sales resources) as well as motivation of the partners and stores, and performance management of partners. The PAM will assist with growing partners to sell the widest possible range of business products and solutions from Vodacom Business across the dedicated partner distribution footprint.

    Your responsibilities will include

    • Deliver sales, revenue and key KPI’s against detailed budget:
    • To deliver on key sales KPI’s – mobile activations, revenue, churn, upgrades, simple fixed connectivity and in contract KPI’s in order to achieve and exceed the detailed budget for the year.
    • Pipeline management of new business from the partners and stores
    • To advise and assist in budget planning & forecasts cycles for each quarter and the new financial year.

    Design, develop and execute operational sales plan:

    • Clearly define and develop the detailed sales strategy outlining the sales account plans, forecasts and pipeline management for the partner base, to ensure that all the sales targets can be achieved.
    • Manage the day-to-day activities to achieve the set sales targets and goals
    • Weekly and monthly tracking of overall sales targets, KPI’s and strategic channel goals for the partner base
    • Drive the key strategic goals of the channel across the partner base
    • Maintain and grow partner relationships with the partner base

    Business in Retail focus

    • Weekly stores visits to retail stores in order to drive business in retail
    • Drive the further development and implementation of our Business in Retail plan within the franchise and dealer stores
    • Assist in developing retail store consultants to increase sales of business products within retail stores
    • Drive convergence and the sale of simple fixed products within the retail stores

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:
    Technical / professional qualifications:

    • Matric with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, and partner management and/or account management
    • A qualification in Sales or marketing or or Equivalent qualification

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Clear understanding and experience in mobile sales and specifically corporate sales
    • Knowledge related to the Telecommunications Industry and specifically Mobile and Mobile sales
    • Proven track record in managing business partners and driving sales with partners
    • Understanding of business landscape and various business segments
    • Experience in sales account planning
