    Packaging Analyst

    Key Performance areas include, but are not limited to:

    • Perform DPMO inspections and process control training, coaching and Planned job observations in accordance with required procedures.
    • Perform weekly Packaging Governance audits and share recommendations.
    • Actively participate in TPM implementation.
    • Improve Hygiene Programme within the Packaging department.
    • Reporting and handling of non-conformances, on both Finished product and Packaging material.
    • Show clear understanding of Packaging material defects.
    • Perform administrative duties.
    • Assist in maintaining certification, ISO 9001, FSSC22000 and SANS1841.
    • Liaise between Quality Assurance department and both Production and Materials departments.
    • Actively assist in problem solving.
    • Actively participate in all Mission directed work teams activities.
    • Ensure adherence to 5S and Teamwork principles.

    The successful candidate must have the following experience / skills:

    • National Diploma in Food Technology
    • 1-3 years’ experience
    • NQF level 5 packaging diploma or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
    • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
    • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.
    • Strong laboratory skills and knowledge.
    • Display knowledge and insight where to obtain information and interpret information relevant to own work area.
    • Ability to make independent decisions by applying product knowledge in own work area.
    • Ability to implement controls to ensure the achievement of quality standards.
    • Strong ability to do problem solving, fault finding and knowledge of various problem-solving methods.
    • Computer literacy, preferably MS Office will be considered advantageous.
    • Good communication skills, especially in liaising between different departments.
    • To reflect good leadership behaviour towards colleagues, superior and company values.
