    KAM Off Premise

    Purpose of the Position:

    The main objective of the Key Account Manager is to manage the Heineken Beverage portfolio in Strategic Key Account groups, to achieve designated sales targets through the implementation of appropriate and unique strategies for these key accounts.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Implementation of the Key Account Lead’s Strategy for the relevant channel of group accounts.
    • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
    • Maintain a core understanding of the Trade and Key Customer’s approach in this category to effectively contract, execute and grow market share.
    • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
    • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
    • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
    • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
    • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into share growth.
    • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
    • Apply the key elements of channel, category management in terms of continuously enhancing supply and retailer and manufacturing relationships, meeting consumer needs smarter and faster in such a manner that it would maximize financial returns.
    • Develop and implement the most effective consumer touch points and the resulting cost efficient communication mediums for the brand to influence its consumers (ATL, POS, ROI, Sponsorships, Events, brand home)
    • Manage and grow profitability and market share in respect of specific accounts.
    •  Serve as the single point of contact to coordinate interaction between all functional areas within HEINEKEN Beverages and their counterparts within the Group Account.
    •  Analyze and interpret business information including legal parameters and governance requirements.
    • Follow HEINEKEN Beverages policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification i.e National Diploma/Degree will be an advantage for the role.
    • 3-5 years market experience in Key Account, Business Management, Revenue Management, Channel Management and/or Financial Management; within a FMCG company would be a preference.
    • Sound knowledge of Group Account/Key Account practices and procedures.
    • Successful track record in relationship management.
    • Proven track record with sizable portfolio of more than R500mil annual GSR will be an advantage.
    • Above average business acumen, commercial accounting and profitability management skills.
    • Competent in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) will be advantageous.

    • Manage the Dry Goods store functions so that targets set are met and that operational methods are   continually challenged and improved upon

    Ops Co-ordinator - Ottery (Cape Town)

    Purpose of the Job:

    Responsible for effectively handling the administration and financial function within the Distribution Centre through the completion of all reasonable tasks to ensure the operational efficiency of the DC / Branch. The Operations Co-Ordinator is also responsible for assisting and supporting the organization’s endeavor to create superior customer service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordinate the daily administration function within the Trade Express. 
    • Assist and support managers with Purchase requisitions, the goods receipt process, purchase orders and all procurement related admin (SAP and COUPA)
    • Manage petty cash in accordance with policy and procedure.
    • Ensure that the ISO 9001:2015 documentation is maintained and applied. Coordinate DC ISO audits and changes to documentation.
    • Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts, including the monthly co-ordination of OPEX spends and variance analysis in terms of guidelines and assumptions.
    • Ensure that monthly spending as per cost center and cost element are allocated correctly and are expensed as per the budgeted flexing.
    • Co-ordinate the monthly variance reporting after obtaining and evaluating the reasons for variances.
    • Ensure that distribution cents per liter cost is contained through continual investigation and improvement of asset utilization.
    • Perform Trade Express capex and abnormal maintenance function.
    • Verify assets in the Trade Express on a regular basis.
    • Prepare and Inform Regional Head office of the scrapping and selling of assets and manage the tender process for such assets
    • Ensure all monthly meetings (incl. H&S meetings) are held and that the minutes of the meetings are prepared.
    • Effectively co-ordinate the monthly internal audit function for the Trade Express.
    • Ensure that the Internal Control Checks (ICC) are performed on a monthly basis by the relevant controllers.
    • Apply scores as per the matrix to all modules.
    • Administer Customs and Excise Accounts (Where applicable)
    • Assist in monthly stock takes and ICC’s as and when needed.
    • Improve business processes to ensure achievements of Business Objectives.   
    • Ensure that distribution cents per liter cost is contained through continual investigation and improvement of asset utilization.
    • Follow the organization's policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) Qualification.
    • A relevant Diploma or Certificate in Administration or Finance will be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 6 Months relevant experience in FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment.
    • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, Strato, Success Factors experience beneficial.
    • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Experience meeting tight deadlines. 
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills  
    • The ability to work after hours and / or shifts if necessary.

    RPM Logistics Manager

    Purpose of the position:

    The purpose of the role is to establish a world class reverse logistics operation for Heineken Beverages.  This position will ensure effective and optimal planning and execution of all Returnable Packaging Material.  Drive the optimization of returnable containers to maximise returns and ensure on time and in full delivery to Production Lines nationally. 

    The incumbent must ensure compliance with the Heineken Rules, Logistics Standards and Procedures applicable and including local legislation. The incumbent must deliver on 4 key areas of performance: Safety, Service, Savings and Sustainability.

    Key responsibilities:

    Safety and Sustainability

    • Ensure that a safety and sustainability culture is entrenched and all incidents, accidents and near misses are reported, investigation and corrective actions implemented and monitored.
    • Sustainability programs are implemented and tracked.
    • Ensure that site is adequately secured and always protected.

    Warehousing

    • Define long-term, annual as well as daily plan including objectives, goals, and targets for operation in line with the Op Co logistics strategy.
    • Regularly assess how goods movement is executed on the shop floor.
    • Coach Teams in monitoring and improving the warehouse process execution.
    • Mobilize additional resources when needed.
    • Ensure product quality standards are maintained as per the Heineken standards.
    • Accurate inventory control processes in place to Heineken standards.
    • Ensure service levels are met to deliver Case Fill Rate (CFR).

    Assets and equipment management

    • Define and purchase/lease the required quantity and mix of warehouse assets and equipment.
    • Ensure they are maintained in good working condition and in line with Heineken Standards and applicable regulations.

    Logistics Service Provider (LSP) Management

    • Manage the LSP relation and performance according to the LSP management approach in line with our strategy and standards.
    • Collaborate with LSP’s and other stakeholders to identify and roll-out joint-improvement initiatives to improve performance.

    Warehouse Cost Management

    • Apply Heineken logistics cost modelling tool in warehouse tenders, annual planning, LSP management as well as TPM to ensure optimal costs are achieved.
    • Ensure costs are managed in line of the Rolling Forecast (ROFO)

    Transport Management

    • Ensure on site compliance to Heineken Rules, Logistics Standards, Procedures, local legislation applicable to transport operations.

    TPM and Continuous Improvement

    • Set-up and implement the Warehouse Pillar, its strategy and control systems, and manage the Pillar Team, resources and improvement team planning according to TPM methodology.

    Management Information Reporting

    • Prepares, explains, and follows up on management reports, in line with global reporting standards and/or local requirements.

    Leadership

    • To lead and manage change, in support of corporate, divisional and team goals.
    • To clearly communicate and implement plans, initiatives and KPI’s.
    • To develop a culture of excellence

    Lead effective internal and external relationships

    • Implement reverse logistics systems and processes.
    • Ensure alignment between logistics operations and Supply Chain Strategic intent.
    • Maximize use of returnable containers.
    • Ensure returnable containers (reverse logistics) execution meets costs and availability targets.
    • Ensure relevant planning systems are in place.
    • Manager the reverse logistics and transport department
    • Ensure sufficient planning and execution systems and processed are in place.
    • Establish planning rhythms aligned with production and SA BU

    Qualification and skills required:

    • Degree in Logistics
    • 7-10 years in warehousing / logistics / inventory, Supply Chain, MS Office, and systems
    • Experience in developing Route to Consumer Strategies & value propositions for Customer Service
    • Experience with Distribution Footprint Studies and development of Site Master Plans
    • Detail orientated, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Displays drive and energy in a highly pressurized environment.
    • Develop & sustain productive Customer relations and creating an environment that support Customer centric behavior.
    • Fosters a collaborative / team-working spirit to actively help and support others to achieve team goals.

    Packaging Analyst

    Key Performance areas include, but are not limited to:

    • Perform DPMO inspections and process control training, coaching and Planned job observations in accordance with required procedures.
    • Perform weekly Packaging Governance audits and share recommendations.
    • Actively participate in TPM implementation.
    • Improve Hygiene Programme within the Packaging department.
    • Reporting and handling of non-conformances, on both Finished product and Packaging material.
    • Show clear understanding of Packaging material defects.
    • Perform administrative duties.
    • Assist in maintaining certification, ISO 9001, FSSC22000 and SANS1841.
    • Liaise between Quality Assurance department and both Production and Materials departments.

    The successful candidate must have the following experience / skills:

    • National Diploma in Food Technology
    • 1-3 years’ experience
    • NQF level 5 packaging diploma or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
    • Ability to work under pressure and independently.
    • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.
    • Strong laboratory skills and knowledge.
    • Display knowledge and insight where to obtain information and interpret information relevant to own work area.
    • Ability to make independent decisions by applying product knowledge in own work area.
    • Ability to implement controls to ensure the achievement of quality standards.
    • Strong ability to do problem solving, fault finding and knowledge of various problem-solving methods.
    • Computer literacy, preferably MS Office will be considered advantageous.
    • Good communication skills, especially in liaising between different departments.
    • To reflect good leadership behaviour towards colleagues, superior and company values.
