    Mid to Snr New Business Development Manager

    About the role

    Skynamo is looking for an energetic and ambitious rainmaker who wants to smash targets and be well rewarded in a dynamic software-as-a-sales (SaaS) environment.

    In this role, while you will be provided with some pre-qualified leads from our marketing funnel, the onus is on you to fill your pipeline with your own sourced leads to succeed. Our typical customers are wholesalers, manufacturers and/or distributors with an outside sales team that can benefit from our mobile CRM and ordering app, Skynamo.

    You will consult with prospects, understand their business needs and identify the areas where Skynamo will be the right solution in their environment. The Account Executive is expected to bring their own view in recommending sales strategies and approaching this market, in order to meet quota. You should be an adaptable, resilient, knowledgeable multi-tasker with strong tech and communication skills.

    The ideal candidate will have experience selling to wholesales, manufacturers and distributors, be organized, passionate about client relations, and focused on enhancing the buyer experience while smashing targets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Unearthing new sales opportunities and leads through networking and cold calling.
    • Effectively engage with new prospects and win deals by using a consultative, business value-orientated approach that resonates with decision-makers
    • Seek first to understand, ask probing questions and look for areas where Skynamo can add and create value for the prospect
    • Create detailed business plans to reach predetermined goals and quotas
    • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data
    • Partner with SDRs’ and Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies
    • Update and maintain prospect information and sales activities on the company’s choice of CRM systems

    Requirements

    • 4+ years of sales experience (experience in software or technology an advantage)
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets
    • Proven track record in new business development (and we mean it ;)
    • Experience in selling to wholesalers, manufacturers and/ or wholesalers
    • Good listener who is able to partner with prospects to understand challenges and present solutions
    • Experience in presenting solutions to prospects
    • Experience selling to manufacturers/ wholesalers/ distributors
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient with sales technology tools including CRM (Salesforce.com is advantageous), sales engagement platforms and Microsoft Office
    • Good business acumen
    • Entrepreneurial spirit
