    Marketing Portfolio Manager II

    Role Purpose

    • To provide strategic partnership to relevant Business Unit EXCOs by assessing business needs, offering marketing solutions, advising and directing the input into the development of relevant marketing programmes in line with the business strategic direction through the marketing value chain (consulting, programme leadership, strategic solutioning, development, execution and reporting and measurement.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development of a budget aligned to operational delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances.
    • Provide input into the development of pillar/customer marketing strategies and plans in line with the business strategic direction and the marketing value chain for the respective pillar/sub-segments
    • Implement the integrated marketing communications plans translated from the multiple-franchise/segment business/marketing strategies
    • Plan and design assigned marketing programmes and monitor progress, resolve issues and initiate appropriate corrective action
    • Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
    • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG
    • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
    • Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
    • Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
    • Align business and marketing functional strategies and ensure marketing activity performance feedback for business improvement and marketing value chain
    • Consult with business to identify, assess marketing needs and offer innovative solutions
    • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
    • Creates solutions to meet customer demands to deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum Qualification - Relevant Bachelors Degree
    • Preferred Qualification - Relevant Post Graduate Commercial Degree with specialisation in Marketing Management, or Business Management, Economics, Finance
    • Experience - 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years working in a managerial marketing position

    Additional Knowledge

    • Marketing background and knowledge of relevant marketing standards and methodologies
    • Proficient in relevant software packages and applications
    • Leadership of marketing programmes in support of the business and marketing plans
    • Leveraging capabilities of direct marketing, digital performance marketing, social media marketing, above-the-line, digital and traditional media and content marketing.
