• Clover is looking for an experienced Manager: Network Infrastructure to ensure an operational and reliable infrastructure environment on which Clover business & applications can function. This position will be base in the IT team at our Head Office in Roodepoort. 

Requirements    

• Degree- BSc Computer Science
• Minimum 8  years operational network & firewall / proxy experience with any type of Cisco certification and or network support certification 
•  Minimum of 8 years proven hands on Cisco network support and firewall / proxy  experience

Duties and Responsibilities    
Global IT Network Operations & Support           

• Ensure global 3rd line network support
• Support branches nationally on core networks, WAN, LAN, WI-FI and Internet to ensure effective operational status daily
• Manage the completion of all support calls
• Ensure 99.999 % uptime and support of area of responsibility ( No unplanned downtime)
• Manage the back up of all Network Systems
• Provide 3rd level support and backup assistance to IT Voice team             
• Provide support to internal IT teams as required

Network Infrastructure, Monitoring and Performance   

• Ensure proper network equipment setup & configuration as per best practice
• Ensure that all network devices and branch radio devices are monitored and maintained on monitoring systems
• Ensure network cabling and racks are neat at all times
• Manage the Network and Wireless infrastructure (WAN & LAN) to ensure operational efficiency
• Manage advanced Cisco device configuration, support and QOS required
• Provide 3rd level security infrastructure, Wi-Fi, Warehouse, Scanner and IP-CCTV network support
• Lead the procurement and design of all network and security infrastructure
• Manage the Warehouse Management System Infrastructure nationally
• Lead the Network Disaster Recovery plans
• Manage the design and installation of all Process Control IT Infrastructure in conjunction with relevant process engineers

Infrastructure Projects 

• Manage all new network installations ensuring quality of installations
• Manage the Infrastructure and network aspects of business projects and business expansion projects.           
• Ensure Infrastructure & Metwork support for mergers and acquisitions while adhering to timelines and deliverables
• Manage design and installations of cabling infrastructure

Internet, Firewall and Proxy      

• Ensure configuration & support of customers/clients VPN Services
• Ensure administration & support of internet breakouts, secure VPN services, data usage, internet access, BlueCoat Proxies and Sophos UTM Firewalls  

Network & Security Infrastructure Design          

• Lead the design of Network & Security infrastructure as per best practice
• Manage best practice standards regarding infrastructure equipment
• Ensure continuous improvement of the latest technology for business units
• Ensure the design and installation of all new network room, CCTV project, Firewall and Proxy technology
• Ensure the design and installation of physical security systems and time and attendance systems for Clover Group
• Manage the Network operational OPEX budget
• Ensure monthly management and Exco reports are up to date & timeously updated

Internal & External Stakeholders            

• Ensure external support and /or maintenance of contracts: Telkom , Neotel , Internet Solutions, MTN Network, Vodacom Network ,EOH Access Control, ITTSA , Cisco , Dimension Data Monitoring  & Network Services, CCTV systems, EOH Bluecoats, Netxactics, XON Systems, Cabling            
• Ensure service delivery as per service level agreements for stakeholders
• Provide efficient support to Business Units, Principals and Agents

People Management    

• Drive business continuity and capacity planning
• Identify training needs and appropriate course content
