Junior Network Engineer at Datacentrix

Datacentrix requires the services of a Junior Network Engineer with experience in Aruba, HP and Cisco.
Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Matric and Network certifications
• Atleast 2 - 3 years experience in the networking environment 
• Must have driver's license and own car

Role Description:

• Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches and other network devices
• Ensure reliable network connectivity to all of the networks
• Administer all equipment, hardware and software upgrades
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
• Perform network backups and recovery
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
• Manage ISP and 3rd party internet connections and escalations
• Write and forward month end reports to the management team
• Perform morning checks
• Troubleshoot issues
• Write documentations
• Ensure network compliance
• Escalate calls that can not be remedied to appropriate persons in a timely manner in accordance with agreed escalation procedures
• Provide monthly statistics summarizing calls frequency, service rendered, corrective action taken, failure trends damage inflicted, etc.
