    Junior Analyst : Micro and Access Product Institution Department

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Assist the Manager in the development and implementation of an effective and efficient conduct of business supervisory framework for micro institutions,   based on the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) approach;
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in respect of regulatory and supervisory matters;
    • Monitor compliance with legislation and ensure that unfair treatment of customers by Micro and Access Product institutions is attended to;
    • Responsible for coordinating and conducting on-site inspections, and ensure that matters emanating from the inspections are attended to timeously;
    • Assist the Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining proper quality management and control procedures in the department;
    • Assist the Manager in preparing and providing inputs to all statutory and supervisory reports;
    • Actively participate in and contribute to industry and FSCA committees as and when required;
    • Assist the department with projects that the department is working on; and
    • Perform administrative and other supervisory activities delegated by the Manager.

    Other Key Competencies:

    • The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: A high level of judgement and a confident and decisive approach; problem analysis, information gathering, communication skills, good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, customer relations and persuasiveness skills and must be computer literate.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Law or related field, coupled with at least 0-1-year work experience, preferably in the financial services industry. A good knowledge and understanding of micro institutions and access products in the financial sector is required.
