Internship: Information Security Administrator at FNB South Africa

Key Purpose

Perform operational day to day tasks across related security capabilities (dependant on speciality). Primarily provide support and perform administrative tasks and potential system maintenance of the controls. Troubleshooting of any system or user related issues.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

• Ensure adherence to the current security policies and standards.
• Operational support of capabilities according to policies and standards.
• Operational and maintenance tasks across multiple security capabilities (dependant on speciality).
• Actively provide input into improving current operations and procedures.
• Perform proactive research to identify and understand new threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Collaborate with team members to increase security domain knowledge
• Install and operate security measures to protect systems and information infrastructure at the access layer

Education And Experience

• Basic IT qualifications (A+, N+ or equivalent)
• Basic Security qualifications (S+ or equivalent)
• IT related Diploma / Degree
• Technology specific qualifications dependent on specialty

Specific Requirements

• Passion for IT
• No previous internship and or graduate programme in any industry or government institution
• No work experience (Essential)
• Between the ages of 20 – 30 (Essential)
• You must be a South African Citizen by Birth or by naturalization before the 27th April 1994.
