    Human Resource Business Partner-Brands (Bellville)

    Job Description    

    • Pepkor Speciality is seeking to employ a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP), based in Cape Town, Western Cape. The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for the effective execution of the Human Resource function withinStores. The HRBP will work as a close business partner to their Area Sales Managers and will offer a comprehensive Human Resource Service to their Operational colleagues and all the Stores in their divisions. A core focus of the role is to add value and impact through effective implementation and execution of the Human Resource practices and policies.

    Qualifications    

    • A tertiary qualification in HR management.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

    • Three years’ experience in a HR management role within a retail environment.
    • Solid HR Generalist working experience, with recruitment and Industrial Relations being the main focus. 
    • A practical grasp of the retail industry, and especially the operations and human resource issues in a store. 
    • Working knowledge of all relevant South African legislation. 
    • Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills in English. 
    • Working knowledge of G-Suite/Microsoft office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and outlook).
    • A valid driver’s license (code 8) is essential as this position will require extensive traveling.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • The development and implementation of effective Human Resource plans within stores.
    • Recruitment, selection and induction of competent, diverse people who meet the brand personification. 
    • Management of industrial relations, including the management of cases through the dispute resolution stages (CCMA). 
    • Coordination and facilitation of training and development initiatives for stores. 
    • Providing expert advice on all human resource issues pertaining to stores. 
    • Accurate submission of monthly payroll information and checking of payroll information monthly 
    • The development of appropriate action plans for implementation in partnership with the various operations teams and store managers. 
    • Acting as a change agent to heighten awareness and gain support for the Company’s Human Resource Strategy and strategic priorities and driving company culture.
