    Head: Digital Sales Channel

    Job Purpose

    • The purpose of this role is to lead and grow a team, whose role it is to develop and grow scale of our Nedbank Insurance, life and non-life solutions, through digital channels.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead the digital commercialisation team
    • Grow the digital commercialisation team
    • Ensure that you form part off all the bank’s digital distribution channels through USSD, Money App, Kiosk, etc.
    • Penetrate the identified different segments within the bank
    • Commercialise through analyse banks data, create campaigns, develop targeted and personalised customer strategies
    • Understand the customer sales journeys on digital, analyse drop offs and know the solutions
    • Run sales funnel management to ensure success against digital sales targets
    • Ensure there is a clearly articulated sales and channel plan for digital execute with clarity & effectiveness
    • Form part of the Customer Journey Mapping and ensure great digital customer journeys to ensure uptake of Nedbank Insurance solutions through simple and effective sales processes
    • Acknowledge and adhere to Nedbank's policies, product training requirements, etc.
    • Develop and maintain a high performance sales culture by ensuring alignment of the sales strategy with team targets
    • Drive great digital customer journey s to ensure take up on digital channels
    • Effectively manage stakeholder’s requirements and deliverables timeously
    • Craft and implement developmental and talent strategy
    • Ensure effective risk management by monitoring compliance to policies and procedures and relevant regulatory frameworks and taking corrective action where necessary

    Job Responsibilities Continue

    • Ensure optimisation of resources and workflow to increase productivity by ensuring effective resource and work allocation
    • Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships by ensuring that Nedbank values are followed in sales and service delivery
    • Actively manage drop offs on the digital channels ensuring corrective measures are taken
    • Ensure that 70% of all Nedbank Insurance’s sales volume is able to come through digital channel
    • Work closely with BITE to ensure appropriate technical capability is available foe sales to take place
    • Active drive sales campaigns on digital and ensure the operationalisation of funnel management to ensure a daily sales management regime
    • Work with the appropriate partners to ensure traffic is directed to Nedbank Insurance digital assets
    • Work with the appropriate partners to ensure that Nedbank Insurance is placed in a prominent place on the app
    • Ensure client satisfaction by monitoring and analysing client experience results through the various tools and measurements and take required action
    • Ensure synergy between team networks through consistent and constant communication of expectations
    • Drive and monitor the implementation of the sales strategy against objectives and outcomes by ensuring that all businesses within your area of influence are aligned to the sales strategy
    • Develop and manage the budget according to the strategic business requirements.

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Preferred Qualification

    • Relevant  industry specific qualification in Finance or Sales, Fais qualification, Regulatory Examination 1.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 5 years in sales roles and must have been experienced in digital channels (non-negotiable)
    • Relevant industry experience and track record of growth the digital sales channel and sales volumes for a client centric organisation. Insurance industry experience (life & non-life)
    • Track record of sales delivery on digital channels across a large portfolio of solutions (we now have 18 different solutions live)
    • A degree is not required.  Relevant experience and track record is required.  The best person for this job is not one who has been trained to think in boxes
