    Group Specialist: Assessments - Johannesburg

    Role Purpose

    • Design, develop, implement, and lead a market leading, strategic, insights driven, differentiated, objective, valid and reliable Enterprise-Wide assessments practice that enables the talent acquisition, development and talent availability of game changing talent in multiple talent segments (e.g. executive, specialist etc.) ahead of demand. 

    Detailed Job Description

    • Translate the Enterprise People Strategy, Talent Strategy, Strategic Workforce Plan and broader business strategies, context and operational plans into talent assessment and measurement implications
    • Design and implement a workforce experience, segment and business strategy led enterprise-wide talent assessment and measurement strategy and approach to meet business requirements. 
    • Design, Source / Develop and continuously improve on future focused assessment solutions, across multiple use cases, to deliver a competitive talent advantage in the business
    • Partner across the people value chain (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Talent Development & Enablement) to develop short-, medium- and longer-term talent assessments & measurement innovations that meet consistently shifting business needs for a more robust and available talent marketplace 
    • Provide talent assessment and measurement advisory at different levels of complexity including the who, what, when where and how to leverage assessment and measurement for various business requirements 
    • Design, develop and implement future-fit assessment innovations that cater for differentiation including AI, automation, RPA, gamification, and a broader set of emerging capabilities that enable our ability to source and develop talent at scale, quickly and objectively
    • Work proactively with the technology team for the technology enablement of the assessment and measurement practice – this includes integration of assessment solutions for selection, development etc. with the broader technology stack and solutions e.g. performance, learning systems etc., the stability, usability, user experience and outputs (insights, reporting etc.)
    • Successfully integrate and lead talent management delivery, reporting & risk management within the broader organisational change (HR & organisation governance) delivery mechanisms e.g. steercos, Exco’s etc. 
    • Lead the procurement, partnership and relationship management with assessment and measurement providers 
    • Set & cascade strategic direction of the assessment and measurement practice
    • Build capability to continuously transition & reskill the team in preparation for broader transformational changes and innovations and when required provide both formal and informal coaching
    • Proactively attract, recruit, develop, retain, reward & deploy a diverse resource base aligned to an ever-evolving business / client environment (ahead of demand) 

    Experience and Qualifications

    • B-Degree in related fields e.g., Business, Psychology, etc. and registration with the HSPCA 
    • 10 years’ integrated talent or assessment / measurement experience 
    • 5 years in a senior leadership role of which 3 years’ must be managing managers
