JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and update the financial control risk management framework and risk mitigation procedures by staying abreast of trends and insights s to mitigate losses and safeguard Standard Bank Group. Oversee the New Product Governance for CIB by quality assuring all new and enhanced products and digital initiatives ensuring compliance with policies and managing any potential breaches.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting or a relevant discipline.
• Professional Qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA)
• Post graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting or a relevant discipline

Experience

• More than 10 years
• Deep understanding and a broad view of how the Bank operates from a Front Office perspective as well as a downstream risk area perspective
• Experience within the Finance division of a corporate banking environment or environment with similar technical challenges
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Strong Controls & Process background with previous experience in either Financial Control or Audit.
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of risk management and ensuring governance standards are in place.
