Full Stack Developer at Old Mutual

If you are ready to lead the development of our integrated customer centric web applications, then this role is waiting for your expertise. Applications are based on designs and specifications determined in collaboration with an agile project team. Share your expertise in assisting to mentor and lead other developers in the team. This position falls in the mid-management category and reports to the IT Manager of Remchannel (part of Old Mutual Corporate). Actively participate in the planning, estimation and sizing of epics, features, stories to be delivered

• Delivery of a solutions within the timelines agreed with the project team
• The management and optimization of applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Contribute to the retrospective reviews to introduce efficiencies which will ensure quicker delivery with high quality to our clients
• Maintain, debug existing code and perform regression testing and code refactoring
• Conduct technical analysis and prepare the necessary documentation
• Conduct research, design, prototype, and other exploration activities
• Mentor and lead other developers in the team

Job Requirements

• At least 5+ years working as a developer
• Relevant qualification required
• Must have experience in microservices architecture and Cloud (GCP)
• Front-end experience includes React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Back-end experience includes Redis, NoSQL, C#, RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD. Experience in Kubernetes, Docker an advantage
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements.
