    FEB Program Specialist

    Summary

    • As a FEB Program Specialist at the GS-0301-14, you will be part of Employee Services, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for providing strategic and administrative support needed to convene local agency heads, executives, and managers, as well as State and Local Government officials, within the designated coverage area(s) to facilitate interagency collaboration on implementing Administration priorities and cross-agency goals.

    Duties

    • Support the operations of the respective FEB, including information-sharing with local agency heads and organizing FEB-sponsored events.Provide strategic and administrative support needed to convene local agency heads, executives, and managers, as well as State and Local Government officials.Defining, organizing and/or conducting programmatic duties, pertaining to project management and policy and cut across major organizational elements.

    Requiremennts

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation May be required to successfully complete a probationary period This position is eligible for inclusion in the bargaining unit. if the duty station is finalized in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, employees in this position will be represented by the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 32. if the duty station is finalized outside of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, this position will not be represented by a bargaining unit.

    Qualifications

    For the GS 14: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal Service that includes:

    • conducting analyses and studies of human capital and emergency management policy issues in the Federal community;
    • developing methods to improve accuracy, adequacy, and/or timeliness of information and systems in place for disseminating information about Government-wide programs and workforce issues;
    • collaborating with project teams to conduct analyses and reviews of programs, projects, and/or operations
    • planning FEB workforce development programs such as interagency training, employee recognition events, and leadership development programs. Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
    • One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level.
    • You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
    • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
    • Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
    • You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
