    Factory Manager - Beverage

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a B. Sc. Eng degree or HND (Mechanical or Chemical) or B. Sc. Ind Chem or BSc (Food Science/Technology)
    • Minimum 8 years’ managerial experience specifically in a food or beverage production environment
    • Previous beverage plant management level experience is essential
    • Must have Project Management experience as well as a key understanding of food safety legislation
    • Understanding of financial management principles is advantageous

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Responsible for production planning and setting production standards and measurement.
    • Implementing and managing a preventative maintenance program as well as general maintenance for the site, including production plant, machinery, and property.
    • Operating the Colour Treatment plant, Pasteurisation plant, blending operations, and RO plant.
    • Handling packaging operations, including aseptic packaging equipment and regular packaging lines.
    • Managing bulk handling, both inbound and outbound.
    • Operating all utilities, including steam, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air, and effluent.
    • Managing and controlling Weighbridge activities.
    • Controlling effluent treatment and disposal.
    • Executing capital projects on site, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
    • Applying cost management principles to manage the Factory Budget.
    • Managing the performance and development of production team members.
    • Ensuring legal compliance at all times within the Factory environment.
    • Accepting and fulfilling 16 (2) appointment requirements.
    • Ensuring SHE standards for the site are adhered to.
