Engineer-in-Training Electrical (Limpopo) at Samancor Chrome

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To be trained in:

• Successful candidates will undergo an intensive, structured 24 months engineer in training (Electrical Engineering) development program under the supervision of professionals. The program is designed to enable the graduates to acquire knowledge and develop skills in a heavy engineering plant in the mineral processing industry with regards to Electrical Engineering studies. To be considered for these 2-3 years fixed term contract positions, candidates need to have a minimum of a recently completed relevant Bachelors’ degree in the field of  Electrical Engineering.

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status us

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in the Electrical Engineering environment will be advantageous

      The successful incumbent will be based at Tubatse Alloy
