Project Cost Controller at RPO Recruitment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for mining projects, including labor, equipment, materials, and other expenses
• Track and monitor project costs against budget and schedule, identifying variances and trends
• Analyze cost data and provide regular reports to project management on cost performance
• Assist in developing strategies to manage cost overruns and improve cost control processes
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting
• Prepare and review financial forecasts and provide input into financial planning and budgeting processes
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to obtain cost data and ensure accurate and consistent reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in in Quantity Surveying
• Project Management Certificate
• Cost Management Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project cost control in the mining industry
• At least 3 years' estimating experience
• Minimum 2 years' operational contract management experience
• Strong understanding of cost estimation techniques, cost tracking, and budgeting processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
