Job Purpose

• To lead a team in creating detailed design solutions and to translate business requirements into system analysis that is in alignment with the overall enterprise information technology architecture and business strategy to ensure delivery of effective IT solutions to respective areas of the organisation

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Facilitate solution design
• Design all business and technical solutions for example business flows user experience and customer experience in alignment with the overarching enterprise IT architecture to ensure effective delivery of the IT solutions.
• Design technical solutions
• Design detailed technical solutions architecture aligned to business requirements which enables the delivery of the overall enterprise architecture and technology roadmap for the organisation.
• Facilitate development of business requirement
• Create user stories such as process flows and features to enable a better understanding of business requirements which meets the needs of the customer as well as the user.
• Provide for sound user experience
• Design, create and test the user experience of the solution provided to ensure usability from both an internal and external client perspective.
• Provide team leadership
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the design solutions and feature analyst teams ensuring alignment to the universal standards and information technology toolbox.
• Provide thought leadership
• Research and implement innovative methods or technologies both externally and within the IT organisation to improve on existing solutions provided to the organisation.
• Develop solutions team
• Develop team members in terms of both behavioural and technical competencies including working knowledge of the universal standards and tool box as required for the respective roles.
• Ability to assist in growing the Feature Analyst competency within the portfolio and to develop Feature Analyst practice as a must

Preferred Qualification and Experience

• First Degree - Information Technology
• 5-7 years experience in IT strategy and planning - experience gained in one or more of the technical areas namely user experience, features or solution architecture
• 5-7 years leadership experience in driving technical and business analyst teams in the delivery of design solutions according to set solution requirements as defined
• Experience and/or training completed in the bank’s preferred future technologies as a must
• Ability to motivate team members in a matrix structure working remotely as a must
• Ability to motivate team members to enhance productivity in a matrix structure
• Ability to fulfil multiple disciplines in the portfolio performing a ‘T’ shaped role
• Strong understanding of current application/systems landscape is a plus point
