    Database Administrator(B978) - (900)

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or equivalent plus at least 5 years' minimum experience in Database Administration. Database development and programming will be an added advantage.

    DUTIES

    • Work closely with other IT specialists to setup, maintain and monitor database.
    • Activate and deactivate database accounts in order to monitor access to organization employees.
    • Design and implement database according to the end user’s information needs and views.
    • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast queries responses.
    • Monitor the database performance, implement changes and apply new patches when required.
    • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
    • Perform tests and evaluation regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
    • Use high speed transaction recovery techniques to backup data.
    • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
