    Data Technician (Three Years Fixed Term Contract)

    Description

    • Capture label data from preserved insect specimens.
    • Geo-reference locality data.
    • Quality control of data inputs.
    • Upload data onto the Specify database.
    • Providing scientific assistance to curator.

    Requirements

    • BSc Honours/ B Agric Honours or equivalent at NQF 8.
    • 1 year experience in data capturing and data cleaning.
    • Experience working with entomological specimens will be an advantage.
    • Proficiency in English.
    • A valid driver’s license.
