Job & Company Description:

• My client is in search of a Credit Risk Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Ensuring the company’s cash flow is maximised through efficient and effective debt collection
• Providing direct guidance and practical recommendations to the businesses’ units serve through interrogation of their current risk management practices
• Assessing and identifying the potential risks that may hinder the reputation and financial prosperity of their organisation.
• Building and maintaining merchant profile that best serves the business’s Risk profile
• Implementing effective management controls that provides early detection and response to risk incident
• Leading the risk and debtors’ team day-to-day operational and financial functions, transactional risk, risk policies and rules, investigation, writing incident reports, assessing fraud/money laundering policies and processes; compliance with Mastercard/VISA/FICA and PASA and then statutory compliance across group

Education:

• Relevant credit control and risk management qualifications
• Certificate in credit and Risk management
• Risk/Fraud training certification – advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum of 5 years in similar role
• Precious analytical / forensic role advantageous
• Deep understanding of the importance around good debt control procedures
• Fully familiar around areas of risk associated to this business area
• Sound knowledge of credit regulations within the South African legal framework
• Superior problem solving and investigative skills (follow the trail)
• Ability to write an investigative summary report with ease (Executive summary, Introduction, findings, recommendations, possible outcomes)
• Previous investigative / analytical / forensic role
