    Credit Control Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Full credit control function and manage the team of credit controllers ensuring they meet the divisions KPI’s.
    • Responsible for the management and performance of the entire credit control division.
    • Weekly report to senior management on the status of the outstanding arrears.
    • Oversee all operations of the credit control department, collecting all outstanding monies.
    • Implement strict credit control processes, procedures and regulations and manage the execution thereof.
    • Engagement with tenants with regards to their accounts.
    • Issuing letters or sms messages as per the requirement and requests from the portfolio managers.
    • Ensure that full attempts at collecting arrears in terms of the company’s policies/processes are adhered to.
    • Weekly meetings with all credit controllers and portfolio managers to address outstanding accounts.
    • Overseeing monthly billings, statements for correctness.
    • Account reconciliations when required.
    • Overseeing that all payments are timeously allocated. View banking unallocated accounts for payments received with incorrect reference numbers and send correct information to banking.
    • Reporting back to owners and portfolio managers regarding outstanding arrears and actions taken.
    • Dealing with Attorneys on all files handed over to the for Legal matters and providing necessary feedback.
    • Attending and resolving matters at The Rental Housing Tribunal.
    • Termination notices issued to be recorded on the system and given through all relevant departments timeously.
    • Provide division with the required internal and external training to upskill personnel.
    • Any other duties and requirements as needed within capability.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric qualification required with accounting as a subject.
    • Related Financial qualification preferred.
    • Up to 2 years credit control experience and client service will be advantageous.
    • Previous managerial experience.
    • Computer literate (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Knowledge of MRI/MDA will be advantageous.
    • Bilingual (written and spoken)
    • Code 08 Driving License

    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
    • Good and professional manner with clients
