Job Description
The area of focus is delivering a clear copy message that accompanies the execution materials, managing timelines, budgets, and strategic planning, as well as the day-to-day requirements in the creative department. You will be expected to execute the projects assigned to you, on strategy and be able to interact with the client and executive management. You will need a competitive combination of technical knowledge, skill, education, and field experience in this upper-level job title. As a senior mentor, you will be responsible for editing and publishing Junior Copywriters’ articles and maintaining brand consistency across all channels. Ultimately, you will create informative and engaging content about our products and services for our audiences. Show up every day with an attitude of curiosity and courageousness.
Responsibilities will include:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Research & discovery to gain insight for new projects.
Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in developing and building brands.
Brainstorming ideas and concepts.
Working in a close-knit creative partnership with the Creative Director or, Art Director to generate workable concepts and ideas.
Writing clear, persuasive, original copy.
Craft engaging messaging for social media campaigns targeting online users.
Conceptualize and craft blog and social media posts to drive traffic to client websites.
Submitting ideas and discussing progress with the creative director before making presentations to clients.
Amending, revising or redeveloping campaigns in response to feedback from the CD or clients.
Working on several campaigns at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar
Adapt global work for a local audience.
Manage large workloads efficiently and effectively.
To work within a creative team, as a team player ready to take on any project that may come into the creative studio.
To present work internally and externally in a clear and professional manner
Work closely with relevant account teams, ensuring effective communication and management of teams’ expectations.
Liaising with production companies, photographers, designers and developers.
Staying on top of consumer conversations that are trending.
Keep up to date with consumer engagement technologies.
Ability to keep up to date with industry trends and standards in order to ensure that work is always fresh, world-class and original.
Ability to be current with the latest trends of influencers across the entertainment and tech industries.
To manage and take ownership of projects from origination to completion
Accurate recording of work time.
Fast thinker: The director must be able to think fast, particularly during critical or stressful times.
He/she must have the ability to work independently, and should be a self-starter.
Agency leadership responsibilities will include:
Disseminate learning through other creative teams and the department.
To develop skills and knowledge within yourself through on the job development, active participation in the agency and department.
Provide feedback to the CD and the creative team regarding improvements that could be made to your team, the department and agency.
Ability to think strategically.
Actively support and involve team members at the appropriate time to resolve issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required and/or 5+ years’ experience with an advertising organisation, with at least 3 years’ previous experience in a high-volume environment.
Digital advertising experience preferential.
A powerful creative portfolio that demonstrates originality, innovation and problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilise resources, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within scope.
Demonstrate the ability to frame the conceptual idea strategical towards the brands strategic intent and brand persona.
Finely honed copywriting skills and latest techniques.
Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, persuasive negotiator, positive and innovative thinker.
Maintain high standards for execution and attention to tone and detail.
Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of the agency’s creative goals and the client’s business objectives.
Ability to make use of market research to influence strategic marketing and advertisements.
Good knowledge of required ecommerce best practices.
Understanding of the enormous capabilities of the web.
Strong ability to multi-task.
