    Cluster Marketing Co-ordinator

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Marketing Co-ordinator is part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our customers. This role promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels all with the goal of enhancing the image of the hotel. This role helps execute direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, social media campaigns and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness, consumer preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness.

    This role also supports key focus areas such as showcasing Food and Beverage promotions and activations to hotel guests, local patrons, and external customers, maintaining operational support to hotels by ensuring marketing collateral is delivered timeously and driving day-to-day departmental workflow management. This role gets to do a little bit of everything, from balancing traditional and social marketing activities to contributing to public relations (PR) activities and executing the design of marketing collateral across all Hotel brands within the Melrose Arch Cluster.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    Marketing Responsibilities:

    • Assists in implementing and managing the Hotels marketing and social media content plan as part of the overall communications program including local advertising, printing, radio, direct marketing, public relations, and social media.
    • Coordinate marketing and promotions activities by ensuring Hotel briefs are received on time and with all completed details.
    • Manage all briefs by loading the brief onto the online traffic system, setting reasonable timelines for execution and ensure all marketing outputs (e.g., print quotes, artwork, delivery of marketing assets) are communicated and physically trafficked back to the brief owner on time.
    • Provide technical guidance to the supplier and hotel where needed to ensure production quality and cost-effective collateral.
    • Assist Marketing Manager with developing various forms of creative design and marketing assets using Marriott Content Hub and MRM Global Design Tools
    • Support the creation and execution of promotional programs for food and beverage, rooms, catering departments and sales teams, together with the design of any relevant marketing collateral.
    • Reviews and ensures all property-based collateral is up to date, relevant and on Brand strategy.
    • Help the Marketing Manager with managing the relationship between hotel, agencies, and printers
    • Ensure brand integrity is protected and promotional messages are delivered when dealing with 3rd party agencies.
    • Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager on current and future Hotel initiatives and provide input into business requirements as required.
    • Prepares a daily job status and shares with the Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing via the daily department stand up meeting.
    • Maintain and enhance the hotel photographic library, ensuring all images are supplied correctly and in line with Marriott Policy and Procedures i.e. signed release forms, contact sheets and up to date usage rights.
    • Assist on Marketing photo shoots where needed.
    • Assist DFM to oversee all other external websites (other than Marriott.com) and ensure Brand Standards are obeyed, proper photography and text is being used.
    • Conduct monthly digital audits to ensure the correct Brand Standards are applied.
    • Assist marketing manager with monthly reporting by monitoring and preparing reports detailing ROI on all promotional activities, partnership programs and Marketing initiatives.
    • Report back to Marketing manager monthly in relation to ongoing marketing trends, competitor analysis and consumer websites, to share at stakeholder’s meetings.
    • Set up business meetings and manage schedules of the marketing department by coordinating diary availability, sourcing, and booking meeting spaces as required.

    Social Media Marketing Responsibilities:

    • Ensure corporate and regional marketing initiatives are pulled through at the property level.
    • Support execution and fulfillment of projects as outlined on marketing communications plans.
    • Assist with development and pull-through of social media brand strategy and overarching reports.
    • Research social media opportunities for all market segments: business transient, leisure, group catering and food and beverage and provide input into the monthly content plan
    • Assist with content scheduling on Sprinklr
    • Assist the Marketing Manager with research and image sourcing of social media creative content.
    • Provide day-to-day support to the Marketing Manager on select social media channels as required
    • Help distribute content across social platforms when needed.

    Public Relations Responsibilities:

    • Conceive appropriate ideas and arrange appropriate marketing activities, working in conjunction with the PR department for events, launches and green / spirit to serve activities.
    • Distribute appropriate information and photographs to selected media, both online and print.
    • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally
    • Using marketing suppliers, develop marketing materials and assemble information packages (e.g. brochures, promotional material, maps etc) for events and conference team
    • Co-ordinate on-property visits from media, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining
    • Assist in coordinating media trips and prepare media packs
    • Manage magazine photo shoots on property where needed
    • Support the Marketing manager with PR activation implantation as needed

    Skills and Knowledge:

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Hospitality Management/Marketing Degree beneficial

    Related Work Experience

    • Experience in Hotel or Leisure Industry advantageous
    • Experience in a Marketing environment
    • Advertising, social media or digital marketing background or experience preferred
    • Fluent in written and verbal English is a must
