    The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership and financial oversight of the Non-gaming and Properties businesses within the broader Hollywoodbets Group.

    You Bring:

    • Degree/Honours in Finance
    • 5 years’ experience in a Senior Financial role as a Financial Director or Chief Financial Officer

    A Bonus To Have:

    • Registered Chartered Accountant
    • Experience in Racing Industry

    What You’ll Do For The Brand:
    Financial metrics

    • Monthly executive reporting and oversight and approval of monthly management accounts.
    • Quarterly board reporting and presentations.
    • Financial accounting and controls design, implementation, and oversight.
    • Oversight of management accounting and information reporting within the business and to the executive team.
    • Review and sign-off of annual financial statements.
    • Oversight of external audit process during interim and year-end audits.
    • Assist internal audit with improving efficiencies around reporting and reconciling of key Racing recons.
    • Treasury management, including improving efficiencies in operational approval processes and developing banking relationships to negotiate facilities where required.
    • Foreign exchange risk management.
    • Cash and working capital management.
    • Planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Project assessment and viability studies.
    • Risk management and insurance process oversight and management.
    • Tax compliance and structuring.
    • Asset management.
    • Management of employee benefits and attendance at Remcom.
    • Review and approval of salary payments on a monthly basis.
    • Review and approve credit applications (supplier and debtor credit applications) and necessary legal agreements.
    • Corporate law, SARB, tax, and BEE annual compliance and structuring analysis.
    • Support the Group CFO and CEO with strategic initiatives.

    • Direct supervision and mentoring of the relevant members of the Finance team
    • Creation and maintenance of roles and job descriptions and KPIs for your direct report subordinates, including annual performance reviews.
    • Attend to disciplinary issues which include PIP’s, warnings, and hearings
    • Sourcing, attendance, and performance of training as and when needed for staff.
    • Adequate recognition of staff efforts.
    • Sustainable morale and team building initiatives.
    • Recruitment and related interviews.
    • Talent retention.
    • Succession planning (through effective mentoring and counselling).

    What You’ll Bring To The Team:

    • Strong sense of Financial, Business, and Commercial Acumen
    • Experience with reporting to the Board and Risk and Finance Committees
    • Good Financial Management experience and understanding
    • Experience with Compliance and Statutory Requirements as well as the relevant legislation
