    Business Manager (Cash & Everyday Banking)

    Job Purpose

    • To provide the strategic and support services required to enable the Cash & ED business to perform its core functions effectively.
    • To support the Executive Head of Cash & EDB in organising, establishing and refining the day-to-day operations of the Cash & EDB teams to operate within its required performance parameters.  
    • The Business Manager will serve as the liaison point with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, employees, and any other enquiring parties

    Key Responsibilities 

    1. Business Management / Financial Performance

    • Work with Cash & EDB leadership teams to ensure quality submissions of business plans. Periodically track business unit performance against plans, and propose measures to address risks and challenges.

    2. Business Administration / Presentation

    • Coordinate and consolidate any Cash & EDB MIS and reporting submissions for various strategy, leadership and governance forums
    • Conduct internal/external research on subject matters required by the Executive head and local/regional leadership team members
    • Write-up research reports / prepare presentations on the above and present / disseminate to the relevant stakeholders
    • Participate in and coordinate Cash & EDB leadership and committee forums.
    • Ad hoc project management (co-ordinating participation by stakeholders across the Group) for short-term and strategic medium-term deliverables for Cash & EDB
    • Participate in business forums that require Cash & EDB representation, as mandated/required
    • AD hoc management of priorities and conflicts related to the Executive Head meetings.

    3. People Management

    • Ensure that any people concerns referred to the Executive Head are referred to the correct people to resolve and monitor progress and outcomes.
    • Provide performance contracting, monitoring and tracking support to Executive Head.

    4. Client Management

    • Ensure that any client concerns referred to the Executive Head are adequately resolved. 

    Preferred Qualification and Experience:

    • Business Commerce Degree/ Equivalent
    • Strong Communication and/or Project/ Programme Management
    • 5-7 Years Experience at management level in a business management function where one is required to plan, coordinate and drive various strategic priorities. Experience in providing enabling functions support to a business unit across multiple disciplines such as financial, procurement, technology or project management
    • 5-7 Years Broad knowledge and understanding of budgeting process; the income statement and balance sheet; general accounting principles and regulatory and framework within financial services.
