    Business Analytics and Insights

    Job Description

    Accountability: Portfolio Analytics and Insights:

    • Develop and implement analytical models and algorithms to support the central change portfolio team and continuously improve these models and algorithms through experimentation and testing.
    • Ensure that the financial data management., statistics, run rate, benefits management, current forecasting’s is incorporated in the monthly reporting views and continuously upon.
    • Ensure that the appropriate performance metrics aligned to the EB scorecard, BU performance is catered for as part of the data provisioning, analysis, and insights processes.
    • Set strategic analytics direction through the development of an analytics roadmap and delivery plan.
    • Operationalize the data analytics function with immediate focus on establishing and maturing descriptive and diagnostic analytics.
    • Expand standard business intelligence to provide insights that drive strategic decision making as opposed to only the provisioning of reporting and datasets.
    • Continuously explore ways to enhance business performance by using data together with analytical techniques to analyse key indicators.
    • Development of sustainable MI solutions to address business needs and identify opportunities to improve processes with technology solutions.
    • Communicate clear, concise, commercially valuable, data-driven insights and recommendations to business in support of operational efficiency improvement.

    Accountability: Portfolio Reporting and Communication:

    • Partner with the central portfolio team to define requirements informing the build of sustainable, comprehensive analytics & reporting.
    • Set a standard of reporting used across EB Change.
    • Use available technologies to drive efficient/ streamlined analytics, monitoring & reporting e.g., automated triggers & alerts in the recommended tool.
    • Create sustainable channels and communication platforms for data flow within EB Change to drive data analytics integration & consumption.
    • Analyse the data to support the central portfolio team in the day-to-day reporting needs using Advanced Excel and visualisation tools and any other tool that may be identified for analysis from time to time.  
    • Manage data management exceptions and alerts within acceptable levels of performance and tolerances.
    • Ensure that all applicable data management standards and policies are adhered to.
    • Play an active role in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of robust analytics model governance to ensure uniformity, sustainability and scalability of all data models produced.
    • Collaborate and partner with the central portfolio team to solve challenges through analytics and enable better understanding of data & reporting.
    • Develop strong collaborative interlocks with the central portfolio team to ensure that all strategic delivery is data-led and commercially viable.  
    • Maintain a high standard of data analytics by ensuring that outputs are constantly quality assured
    • Support with the design, development and, enhancement activities and balancing procedures to ensure integrity of data

    Accountability: Portfolio Quality Assurance 

    • Generate appropriate challenge on model builds by discussing model build detail and ideas.

    Accountability: Stakeholder Management  

    • Manage key stakeholders across the business by ensuring their issues, objectives and priorities are reflected in the agreed solutions.
    • Work with stakeholders to create and maintain a portfolio of business MI by utilising consistent and validated data sources.
    • Contribute to the development of a high-performance culture.

    • Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: BMI - Business Management and Informatics
