Automation Services Manager at Engen

Purpose of the Job

• To manage onsite support vendors & guide operation management for all hardware and networking services at site level and support the infrastructure and network design to ensure all design, implementation and ensure that all infrastructure, platforms and applications are maintained & secure to optimise customer experience and for governance and compliance to SLA’s and relevant standards.

Who You Are:

• You would need a strong understanding of the Retail Automation business processes and principles.
• You would need a strong technical understanding of hybrid solutions implemented within the Retail Space
• Good understanding of the technical requirements and security protocols both onsite and cyber

What you'll have done before:
Baseline:

• NQF Level 7 (Degree in Computer Science/ Management/ Information Systems, IT or equivalent).
• 8 experience in Management of Automation Systems & Infrastructure within Retail/ FMCG industry.
• Understanding of CRM practices
• Understanding of IT Integration
• Experience in managing cloud and distributed solutions

Advantageous:

• Management/ Leadership Qualification
• Knowledge of application & workload, dependencies, architecture and service level requirements.
• Experience with applying IT Service Management processes such as ITIL
• Knowledge of technical reference architectures
• Understanding of IT Governance Processes & Architecture

What you'll be doing:

• SOLUTION IMPLEMENTATION & SUPPORT - Support and maintain Retail related infrastructure and solutions supporting multiple business divisions (Retail, Commercial, Lubes and IBD).
• ASSET MANAGEMENT - Manage the automation assets by ensuring availability and delivery of required forecourt infrastructure
• PLATFORM, SECURITY & RISK MANAGEMENT - Secure Engen’s data and operating environment through compliance with approved security standards and by ensuring that patching and security postures are up to date to minimise risk to processes and data
• STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT - Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including divisional representatives, end customers (B2B and B2C) and IT stakeholders
• DEMAND & SERVICE MANAGEMENT - Manage demands, requests, incidents, problems, and other events logged and / or raised by dealers and customers and with a team consisting of IT and third-party specialists and service providers
• ANALYSIS & REPORTING - Manage the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of CX and forecourt services and resources through proactively monitoring and reporting performance against SLAs

Exciting challenges you might face in the role:

• The candidate would be required to work after hours and weekend (on an occasional basis) for maintenance outages, period end and support.
• The candidate would need to support the financial year end processes that pertains to data warehouse requirements activities and requirements.
• Operate effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
