Associate Professor of Nursing Science - (1076) at University of Venda

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must be in possession of a PHD/Doctoral degree in Nursing Science and an Advanced Midwifery qualification; at least 10 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution/an academic health institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field; Candidates must also have experience in Midwifery Nursing; at least 10 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals. Evidence of supervision of at least 4 Masters/Doctoral students. Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) is a must.

DUTIES

• The successful candidate will accept responsibility for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in Midwifery Nursing Science and will be expected to actively participate in research projects and integration of students learning in midwifery clinical practice. The incumbent will participate in departmental management and will provide academic guidance to postgraduate students.
