Job description

• Responsible for the checking, processing and corrections of transactions on the ledger within the Grain department

Requirements

• B.Com degree with Accountancy
• Completed Articles
• Registration as Safex broker and/or Safexcompliance officer will be advantageous
• Applicable grain experience will be advantageous
• Ability to function independently within team context and to accept responsibility
• Strong analytical, numeracy and interpersonal skills
• Good computer skills and the ability to work with Excel on an advanced level

Duties and Responsibilities

• Record of daily transactions, reconciliations and balancing of reports
• Compilation and evaluation of management and monthly reports
• Budget and budget deviation
• Compliance with policy and procedures
• Comply with JSE and SAFEX rules and legislation
• Supervision of subordinates
• Other job-related functions
