The primary role of the Agency Sales Executive is to maximize Advertising Spend (Adspend) with JCDecaux driven out of the Advertising Agency community in South Africa. To increase OOH Share of Adspend versus All Media within SA and to ensure that JCDecaux is the primary beneficiary of such Adspend.
KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Delivery:

Maximize adspend driven out of the relevant ad agency / client portfolio
-
Achieve/exceed sales targets set by media type, month and quarter

Excellent understanding of all sales networks and tools with the ability to successfully present to market

Understanding of sales procedures (Optioning, contract process, credit applications and subbing of sites)

Liaise with all agency and direct clientele on all levels, seeking new business

Develop and maintain relationships with clients direct that fall within the relevant portfolio(s)

Where applicable dealing with Advertising Agencies across multiple brands

Ability to operate at all decision making levels within the agency / client portfolio including Marketing Directors, CEOs, Business unit heads and General Management

Maintain a continual high level of service and a 24hour turnaround time on all proposals and queries.

Continually promote the Company and offer excellent after sales service

Must deliver on individual KPI’s set per quarter

Attend sales meetings at least once a week, which may continue after hours

To attend workshops, industry and client functions, and any other company-related excursions that may continue after normal working hours

Accurate management of Business under Negotiation and Forecasts to be kept up to date at all times

Deliver Accurate and timeous reports to Management including client lists, agency / client details etc

Must uphold the Company image and retain confidentiality at all times

Act as an ambassador for JCDecaux both internally and externally

Act on shortfall against budget with strategic solutions
Relationship Management

Develop relationships internally and externally with the key stakeholders.
- Assisting the Sales and Marketing Heads to identify opportunities for maximising Adspend.
- To attend weekly PRISM meetings
- Attend regular team meetings
- Action points raised from minutes taken
- Utilise BEE to assist in global concepts and ideas to help drive strategies within relevant portfolio(s)
- Respond quickly to any enquiry from other subsidiaries
- Deliver quarterly KPI’s for direct reports

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Sales and Marketing Degree
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience as an Agency Sales Executive
- Must be computer literate with excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Media Literacy is a necessity
- Use of JCDecaux asset management (Fusion) is compulsory
- Business Negotiation and Presentation Skills
