    IT Quality Assurance Officer

    Job description

    Position Description

    Santam Quality Assurance department has position available for IT Quality Assurance officer based in Menlyn offices.

    The IT Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for d eveloping, establisheing and applying quality assurance testing standards and measures within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Executing risk-based IT reviews and IT risk management reviews (IT projects, application systems, general IT controls, CAATs, IT security, etc.)
    • Ensuring compliance with IT governance requirements and effective IT risk management practices
    • Work with management to analyse, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process.
    • Identifying key IT risks
    • Providing assistance with IT Quality Assurance coverage planning
    • Engagements focus on the assessment and/or evaluation of Information Technology (IT) systems and the mitigation of IT-related business risks.
    • Engagements may be either assurance and/or risk advisory in nature, and vary considerably in size and complexity.
    • Identifying, evaluating and implementing state-of-the-art IT QA tools and techniques
    • Liaising with senior management

    Minimum Requirements Qualification and Experience

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in I.T, Computer Science, Commerce or similar fields
    • Registered as a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) required
    • CISM or CRISC or H Dip Computer Audit (advantageous)
    • Minimum of 4 years IT Audit experience
    • SAP experience

    Skills

    • Experience managing the full cycle IT audit process
    • Understanding of IT governance practices and IT risk management principles (Good grasp of the COBIT fundamentals etc.)
    • Audit project management experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
    • Creative thought
    • Independence with the ability to work as a team member
