Purpose:

An opportunity exists within our Marketing Division for an outstanding ambitious independent Senior Packaging Designer that would like to grow in our business.

As part of our Marketing management team, you would be responsible to ensure effective and timely execution of briefs by managing your own projects as well the workload of designers by facilitating the link between the in-house project management team and designers and providing creative input, backed by proper analysis and research in order to create viable and commercial packaging solutions. To execute and develop Private Label packaging from concept design creation, packaging artwork roll out and final printed packaging to meet customer needs and building Private Label brands.

Qualifications

Essential

• 3 year Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design
• Desirable
• 3 year BA degree in Graphic Design
• Vega or AAA qualification

Experience

Essential

• Graphic Design experience (4 years)
• Packaging Design experience (3-5 years)
• Final Art / Desk Top Publishing experience (3-5 years)
• Studio manager experience (3-5 years)
• Presenting and selling ideas (3-5 years)

Knowledge

Essential

• Current design trends
• Packaging process (Desktop Publishing)

Desirable

Understanding Consumer Protection Act

Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) - 3 - 5 years
• Acrobat - 3 - 5 years
• Strong attention to detail (brief and printer specification interpretation, proof reading)

Desirable

• Drawing - 3 years
• Photographic skills - 3 years
