    Group Talent Development, Diversity and Inclusion Manager

    Job Description

    ROLE PURPOSE:

    A COE Leadership role within the Group HR team. Be a proactive partner and collaborator with other HR teams/stakeholders, Group COE’s and Business leaders. Partner closely with the business to ensure relevant Group programmes are implemented in the business.

    The main responsibility of this role is to provide leadership over key talent development and diversity initiatives and programmes including:

    • Diversity & inclusion strategies
    •  Group Talent Development and Learning Strategy

    SPECIFIC OUTCOMES / CORE TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITY:

    TALENT DEVELOPMENT

    • Lead a compelling capability strategy that is relevant to business needs and priorities
    • To design, develop, plan and facilitate learning and development solutions in order to develop current and future business capabilities
    • Create a platform for capability development for the business
    • Conduct talent skills needs analysis to determine most effective use of human capital resources and makes recommendations to top management based on research
    • Help the business to develop dual career pathing to enable development of both functional and leadership capabilities within the business
    • Design and implement strategies which develop and ensure readiness of talent across the organization, with a focus on diversity & inclusion, enabling the organization to achieve greater flexibility and attain competitive advantages by leveraging its human resource and ensure robust succession development plans are in place
    • Help management evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's talent development and transformation strategies
    • Development of learning academy (ensure seamless integration between functional and leadership academies)
    • Create systems/processes to enable the business to identify and develop current and future capabilities
    • Apply analytics to shape learning strategies. Consult with Business and HR leaders and provide them with tools and methodology to facilitate these actions
    • Ensure WSP/ATR are executed in accordance with business needs/requirements, while complying with legislation
    • Lead the Talent Development COE team to design, develop and implement organisational development strategies and training programmes for the Group
    • Responsible for enhancing the level of talent and employability in the organization by designing and implementing employee and leadership programmes, ensuring all initiatives are integrated and aligned with the business strategy and goals
    • Lead the team to perform external market analysis for a consistent further development of talent development programmes
    • Supports the team on all talent development programmes and works with the business leaders to define, prioritize, and develop such programmes
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure all learning programmes undertaken align with Business and HR’s strategic vision
    • Gain support on Group development programmes
    • Recommend future programmes that may be out of scope for existing projects that would further enable execution of a strategic HR/Business imperative
    • Provide support for key ongoing HR programmes and work closely with the Group HR team to support global HR operations and programme needs

    GROUP DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

    • Champion and implement transformation initiatives to create a diverse workforce
    • Lead and support the Talent Development COE team in all Transformation and organizational development related topics
    • Responsible for comprehensive employment equity/affirmative action strategies to ensure the business drives the equity initiatives in a systematic way (gender/racial/localization/disability)
    • Ensure the internal processes are aligned with the local employment equity legislations
    • Co-ordinate the activities and functioning of employment equity committees
    • Guide and support the South African businesses to drive transformation in their business units
    • Facilitate the annual planning and coordination of learning and transformation projects and programmes based on the HR strategic commitments, business capacity, and HR resource capacity
    • Drive the internal set up of affirmative action goals
    • Develop comprehensive company-wide diversity and inclusion programmes

    REPORTING

    • Planning and manage talent and development budget
    • Legislative reporting relating to skills development and employment equity
    • Administration and database management of all company training data and systems
    • Monitor and evaluate the management of the budget

    PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

    • Lead and coach by setting KPA’s for the team and develop, support and guide the team to ensure delivery of objectives

    GENERAL SUPPORT

    • Provide HR Support to Holdings employees and Group HR team
    • Design and roll out HR Policies in line with business needs

    Requirements

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Relevant degree and / or post graduate qualification in B Degree in HR or Management, HR Development or Organisational Development
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in designing and facilitating learning solutions at a leadership level
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Talent development
    • Experience in dealing with relevant SETA’s
    • Experience in Skills Development Processes, Employment Equity and relevant BBBEE legislation
    • Management experience in a multinational environment
    • Experience in Talent Development best practice
    • Experience of transformation best practice
    • Experience in Global Diversity programme management
    • The ability to deliver creative training solutions Interest in and/or experience in facilitation
    • High level business acumen and financial knowledge
    • The ability to deliver creative training solutions interest in and/or experience in facilitation.
