    Traffic Coordinator

    Job description

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Traffic co-ordination of workflow between the business and design studio.
    • Monitoring work output of each designer on a daily basis
    • Update of daily action lists to the studio and production cell
    • Imputing of briefs into the CHASE data base and updating/management of weekly status reports and status meetings
    • Co-ordination of workflow between design studio, DTP department and repro house
    • Co-ordination and filing of all job bags
    • Brief management between the business and design studio

    QUALIFICATION(S) AND EXPERIENCE

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Matric
    • Tertiary education (College, Tech, University)

    EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

    • Experience as a traffic manager
    • Experience working on a retail account
    • Experience managing a design studio made up of at least 6 designers/DTP artists
    • Knowledge of the Chase management system
    • Comfortable chairing Monday morning status meetings
    • Basic production/design knowledge
    • Utilising time in the most efficient way dealing with urgent matters first as they arise

    TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

    TECHNICAL

    • Knowledge of the Chase management system (can be taught if necessary)
    • A specific planning, project management, client service and organisation skillset is required to manage the traffic process
    • An eye for detail and an ability to interpret creative information
    • An understanding of the technical and practical issues of the print production processes
    • The ability to multitask; to cope with the competing requirements of a number of different projects, operating at different timescales
    • Desire to learn
    • Enthusiastic
    • Ability to prioritise tasks.
    • A go-get-em attitude and great work ethic.
